About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Utility Engineer to join our team at Lochner. As a key member of our infrastructure services team, you will be responsible for designing and managing roadway, drainage, and utility improvements for streets, highways, and interstates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply knowledge of engineering principles to design and develop infrastructure projects.
  • Oversee the Utility Engineering Department, including managing personnel, budgeting, and scheduling projects.
  • Coordinate with design teams to ensure accuracy and quality of work.
  • Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and mitigate potential project risks.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and technicians.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in utility engineering.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas.
  • 5+ years of experience in roadway and drainage design, with a focus on utility management.
  • Experience working on TxDOT projects, with a strong understanding of project management principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to mentor and lead teams.
  • Proficiency in MicroStation SS1 and ORD software.
