Position Title: Sustainable Energy Advisor, Solar and Storage Solutions

Overview:

The Sustainable Energy Advisor will play a pivotal role in conducting assessments of renewable energy initiatives and performing technical evaluations to support our advisory team. This position is integral to the comprehensive analysis of renewable energy projects and portfolios for stakeholders including investors, financing entities, developers, and project proprietors.

Location: This is a hybrid position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in the technical assessment of renewable energy projects for prospective investors, developers, and project proprietors.
  • Assist in the preparation and evaluation of due diligence and independent engineering documentation.
  • Enhance expertise in a primary technical domain while also gaining cross-disciplinary knowledge in areas such as technology assessments (wind/solar/storage), construction and equipment supply agreements, operational contracts, civil engineering, permitting processes, and financial model evaluations.
  • With appropriate training and support, conduct technical site evaluations of wind, solar, and storage projects at various stages of development, construction, and operational phases.
  • Ensure timely, high-quality, and budget-compliant delivery of assigned tasks.
  • Maintain and enhance internal project databases and information systems.
  • This role may involve travel up to 25% of the time.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a technical capacity within the renewable energy sector.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree and EIT certification are advantageous.
  • Experience in consulting, due diligence, and independent assessments, including travel and project site evaluations.
  • Familiarity with multiple renewable energy sources.
