About the Role

We are seeking an experienced attorney to join our Madrid office as Counsel with a focus on commercial and compliance matters. In this role, you will advise multiple teams within the Company on a wide variety of commercial and compliance matters relating to the Company's operations in Europe.

Key Responsibilities
  • Commercial Contract Management:
    • Review, draft, negotiate, and interpret commercial contracts with a wide variety of counterparties.
  • Compliance and Risk Management:
    • Provide legal advice to ensure compliance with internal policies and applicable legal requirements.
  • External Counsel Management:
    • Manage and oversee outside counsel in multiple jurisdictions and areas of subject matter expertise.
  • Culture and Ethics:
    • Foster an internal corporate culture of ethical conduct, sound legal and business practices, and prudent strategic behavior consistent with the Company's business objectives.
Requirements
  • Experience:
    • A minimum of 5 years of relevant legal experience as in-house counsel at a multinational company or with a leading law firm.
  • Skills and Qualifications:
    • Strong commercial and compliance experience and renewable energy fluency.
    • Ability to provide practical, business-oriented advice and guidance independently in a fast-moving environment at all levels of the Company.
    • Strong teaming and collaboration skills.
    • Fluency in English (the working language of the Company and Madrid office) is required. Fluency in Spanish strongly preferred.
    • Admission to practice law in Spain is required.
