Role Objective

LevelTen Energy is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented sales professional to engage new energy purchasers, focusing on sectors such as energy trading and retail. As a Senior Sales Executive, you will be accountable for achieving a defined annual recurring revenue (ARR) target by guiding prospects through the sales process efficiently and professionally. A Senior Sales Executive at LevelTen is not only a representative of our brand but also a vital contributor to the company's expansion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive Subscription Sales aimed at meeting an annual ARR target within a designated segment of energy purchasers, which may include Energy Traders/Retailers, Oil & Gas, and Green Hydrogen producers.
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop campaigns and content that effectively reach new energy purchasers.
  • Manage the complete sales cycle from prospecting, qualifying leads, identifying needs, quantifying value, to proposal, negotiation, and closing subscription sales using suitable sales techniques and tools.
  • Create strategic account plans for key accounts and coordinate with additional resources for teams targeting larger accounts.
  • Assist with upselling and negotiating new terms for renewals in conjunction with the assigned account manager.
  • Establish, maintain, and prioritize a strong pipeline of opportunities generated through both inbound and outbound efforts.
Brand Visibility
  • Enhance brand visibility within the energy purchaser community by participating in conferences, networking with industry stakeholders, and representing LevelTen through speaking engagements to attract new buyers.
  • Develop a network of key stakeholders within assigned accounts and the industry to support a complex sales process.
  • Attend and present at relevant conferences to promote LevelTen and increase brand recognition.
Expertise Development
  • Become an authority on how to be essential to the assigned segment and advocate for customer needs to marketing, product, and executive teams, influencing our go-to-market strategy.
  • Maintain accurate forecasts by regularly updating customer and opportunity records in the company's CRM system.
  • Support the communications strategy, including public relations, social media, events, newsletters, thought leadership articles, white papers, and conferences.
  • Provide leadership within the team and organization for ongoing enhancements of processes, strategies, and communications.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • 5+ years of enterprise sales experience in energy-related sectors.
  • 8+ years of comprehensive sales cycle experience utilizing established sales methodologies such as MEDDIC, Challenger, and Solutions Selling.
  • 3+ years of experience in renewable energy origination, power trading, or energy risk management.
  • Experience in selling software as a service (SaaS).
  • Proven track record of engaging with Directors, VPs, and C-Suite executives.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, both in-person and via virtual platforms.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve goals and quotas consistently.
  • Discipline in CRM usage and meticulous data entry.
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced and evolving work environment.
Additional Information
  • This position is preferably based in the Seattle area with a hybrid work model.
  • The estimated compensation for this role ranges from $145,000 to $160,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications, along with eligibility for commission and equity grants.
