KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Warehouse and Purchasing Management:
Oversee the comprehensive management of the company's warehouse, assembly, and procurement operations to fulfill organizational goals and customer expectations. Collaborate closely with the Division President and core management team to strategize and resolve critical business challenges.
Purchasing Leadership:
Guide and support the Purchasing Manager in daily operations, strategic planning, and execution of business objectives.
Lead initiatives in sourcing domestic and international suppliers for new products and capabilities.
Facilitate negotiations for cost reductions and best practices while managing daily purchasing activities.
Ensure compliance with import material declarations and U.S. Customs regulations.
Direct inventory management strategies to achieve both short-term and long-term business goals.
Production and Warehouse Oversight:
Provide leadership and support to the Production and Warehouse Manager in daily operations and strategic execution to meet set objectives.
Champion initiatives aimed at enhancing capacity, efficiency, and quality.
Collaborate with the Production Scheduling Manager and ERP Analyst to optimize daily operations and strategic goals.
Administrative Responsibilities:
Develop and manage departmental budgets, encompassing all expenditure areas and overseeing the annual scorecard planning process.
Supervise staffing, training, and development programs for Purchasing and Production/Warehouse personnel.
Manage performance evaluations and salary reviews for all staff in the Purchasing and Production/Warehouse departments.
Actively participate in long-term strategic planning to identify growth and development opportunities.
Engage in New Product Development initiatives.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field in supply chain/manufacturing.
- Minimum of 10 years in a senior management capacity.
- Extensive experience in purchasing, supply chain, and manufacturing settings.
- Familiarity with manufacturing technologies, processes, and principles.
- Experience with international sourcing and U.S. Customs is advantageous.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Proficient in project management.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.
- Demonstrated capability to supervise, lead, and mentor staff.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Experience with MRP/ERP systems, particularly Microsoft D365 or AX, is preferred.
