We are seeking a highly skilled and bilingual customer service professional to join our team at Spring Bank. As a Bilingual Banking Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our clients, promoting our banking products, and ensuring that our customers receive the highest level of service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide friendly and proactive customer service to meet and exceed customer expectations.
  • Open new accounts and maintain customer files with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Process customer monetary transactions efficiently and accurately, ensuring compliance with branch protocol and customer service standards.
  • Resolve customer service issues promptly and professionally, providing a personable customer experience.
  • Collect and safeguard sensitive financial data, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to regulatory requirements.
  • Perform recorded callbacks to verify wiring instructions and ensure accurate completion of transactions.
  • Utilize banking systems, such as FIS and Horizon, to service customers effectively.
  • Describe and sell the Bank's products and services to benefit customers, identifying opportunities to cross-sell and upsell.
  • Identify and prevent potential losses due to fraudulent activity, maintaining awareness of current fraud alerts and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Bank's products and services, as well as applicable Federal regulations, including Bank Secrecy and Know Your Customer principles.
  • Adhere to compliance and operational risk controls, reporting control weaknesses, compliance breaches, and operational loss events as necessary.
  • Review reports and resolve exceptions according to procedure.
  • Share knowledge and train other employees within the branch.
  • Contact clients to ensure satisfaction with current services and identify opportunities for cross-selling.
Requirements
  • Fully bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
  • Prior cash handling and customer service experience required.
  • Strong math and computer skills, as well as analytical abilities.
  • Ability to build new customer relationships and strengthen existing ones.
  • Preferred knowledge of banking products and services, as well as banking regulations and compliance issues involving customer transactions.
  • Upbeat and outgoing personality with a strong attention to detail.
  • Willingness to assist and support other areas and grow within the Bank.
  • Team player with the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to solve problems with minimal assistance.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask.
  • Must be able to commute to the South Bronx on a daily basis.
  • Knowledge of bank software applications and internal processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • High school diploma required, with an associate's degree preferred but not mandatory.
