POSITION OVERVIEW
The Project Engineer Trainee will undergo a comprehensive 2-month training program at one of our engineering offices, equipping them with essential skills to provide technical support and accurate information to both external and internal clients in a professional and timely manner.

TRAINING OBJECTIVES
This program will prepare the trainee to effectively collaborate with the General Manager, Engineering Manager, Project Managers, and Engineering Technicians throughout the design process. The training emphasizes teamwork skills, which are crucial for delivering a complete and precise shop drawing and calculation package.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Client Relations: Maintain positive relationships with clients through professional communication and prompt service.
  • Technical Support: Enhance ClarkDietrich's specifications through detailed shop drawings and by providing technical insights to clients.
  • Engineering Design: Accurately interpret and produce CAD/BIM drawings for cold-formed steel structures, including detailed views and structural calculations.
  • Project Management: Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of engineering tasks and maintain project integrity.
  • Office Management: Support daily office operations and engage in team meetings to foster a cooperative work environment.

The ideal candidate excels in a team-oriented setting, possesses strong multitasking and time management abilities, and communicates effectively across various mediums. They should be goal-oriented, solution-focused, and willing to undertake diverse tasks to ensure project success.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Civil/Structural preferred) or related fields.
  • Professional Engineering certification or eligibility to take the Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T) exam.
  • Proficiency in structural engineering principles and software, including AUTOCAD and Revit.
