Responsibilities of the Service Technician
  • Execute tasks outlined in repair orders efficiently and in accordance with dealership standards
  • Conduct test drives and utilize diagnostic tools to assess vehicle performance
  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair various automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning
  • Communicate with Service Advisors to keep customers informed about additional service needs and provide time estimates for repairs
  • Perform warranty repairs following manufacturer specifications
Qualifications
  • Prior experience in an automotive dealership setting
  • Strong understanding of service operations
  • Experience levels vary by position
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent customer service abilities
  • Basic computer skills
