Logistics Operations Manager:

The Logistics Operations Manager at Quietflex Manufacturing is tasked with supervising the warehouse and distribution functions to guarantee satisfaction for both internal and external clients. This role involves crafting procedures aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, minimizing expenses, collaborating with various departments to elevate the customer experience, and maintaining precise inventory control for all finished products and service components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and uphold effective procedures and processes to ensure optimal warehouse operations.
  • Work alongside the Director to set and execute departmental objectives, provide performance metrics, KPIs, and analyze data to inform decision-making.
  • Ensure that all company policies and procedures are effectively communicated, understood, and adhered to.
  • Oversee labor management, seasonal workforce planning, and material handling operations.
  • Engage directly with our internal and external customers regarding service-related issues and damage complaints, making site visits as necessary.
  • Lead and promote continuous improvement initiatives and change management strategies.
  • Foster and maintain positive working relationships with other departments.
  • Support Inventory Control to achieve high levels of inventory accuracy.
  • Guide and develop employees to strengthen managerial capabilities.
  • Ensure safety and cleanliness protocols are upheld to maintain a secure working environment.
  • Manage operations within the budgetary goals set by the Director.
  • Exercise disciplined expense management across all operational activities.
  • Oversee facility management, including preventive maintenance and repairs.
  • Undertake additional projects and responsibilities to support ongoing business requirements.

Nature & Scope:

  • Aligns work with the expectations, goals, and vision of the Director.
  • Accountable for the implementation of policies, processes, and procedures to achieve short-term results.
  • Guided by policies and procedures, makes decisions on moderately complex issues and projects.
  • Provides training and guidance to team members.
  • Authorized to hire, recommend compensation, evaluate performance, and suggest terminations.
  • Signing authority determined by company policy.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Comprehensive understanding of high-performance warehouse and distribution operations, business principles, and best practices.
  • Exceptional leadership capabilities; skilled in envisioning, developing, directing, and delegating responsibilities while fostering employee engagement.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, particularly in creating spreadsheets, graphs, and presentations; strong knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Meticulous attention to detail, along with effective organizational, time management, and project management skills.
  • Analytical skills to convert data into actionable insights and identify trends.
  • Problem-solving abilities to systematically address root causes of issues.
  • Capability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple inputs to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Strong communication skills to convey information clearly in both written and verbal forms.
  • Influencing skills to collaborate and lead change across various departments.
  • A commitment to teamwork, results orientation, and a dedication to achieving business objectives.
  • Adaptability to operational needs and the ability to perform under pressure while making sound decisions.

Demonstrates sound judgment, strong work ethics, and integrity in all job functions.

Experience:

  • Over 10 years of experience in logistics or supply chain roles, with a focus on fulfillment, shipping/receiving, and warehousing.
  • At least 5 years in a managerial or leadership capacity.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience with performance metrics, process enhancement, change management, and Lean methodologies.

Education/Certification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business Management preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.

People Management: Yes

Physical Requirements / Work Environment:

  • Occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs.
  • Extended periods of computer use and typing, as well as prolonged standing, sitting, and walking.
  • Must be capable of performing essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations.
