Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Steakhouse Shift Supervisor to join our team at Wildhorse Resort and Casino. As a key member of our food and beverage operations, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service, managing staff, and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Promote exemplary customer satisfaction through prompt, efficient, and friendly service.
  • Staff Management: Supervise staff to include hiring, firing, scheduling, performance coaching and counseling, performance appraisals, employee orientation, training, and staff development.
  • Restaurant Operations: Oversee restaurant environment, ensuring a smooth flow between front and back-of-house functions that promote efficient service.
  • Banquet Operations: Assist the Steakhouse Manager with all banquet operations including setup, food service, teardown, and clean up.
  • Financial Management: Assist the Steakhouse Manager with the budget process and annual work plans.
  • Training and Development: Organize new hire training and conduct periodic re-training or cross-training as needed.
  • Communication: Communicate policy changes, menu items, operational information, etc., to supervisors, leads, and front-line staff in an efficient/effective manner.
  • Safety and Health: Promote and demonstrate proper food handling and preparation, ensuring that safety and health procedures are followed at all times.
  • Guest Service: Handle any guest service complaints expediently with guest satisfaction and the return of guests as the goal.
Requirements
  • Experience: Five (5) years of food and beverage experience in a restaurant operation and two (2) years of supervisor experience.
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED or 10 years of experience.
  • Certifications: Valid food handler's permit and an OLCC service permit or obtain one within 30 days of hire.
  • Skills: Exceptional customer service skills, effective communication skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Restaurant Management Experience: Previous experience in restaurant management.
  • ServSafe Certification: Certification in food safety and handling.
  • Front-of-the-house Training Experience: Experience in front-of-the-house training and development.
