Security Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team at Wildhorse Resort and Casino. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining order and ensuring the safety and security of our guests and employees.
Key Responsibilities- Patrol and inspect resort and casino properties to identify and report any irregularities or potential security threats.
- Respond to emergency situations and provide first aid and medical assistance as needed.
- Write detailed reports on accidents, injuries, property damage, theft, and other business disruptions.
- Ensure the maintenance and inspection of fire suppression systems and other safety equipment.
- Comply with regulatory laws, policies, and procedures, as well as safety codes and regulations.
- Observe and report any violations of tribal, state, or federal ordinances, laws, or regulations.
- Provide escort services for employees, visitors, and vendors as needed.
- Participate in a drop team, requiring physical agility and strength to maneuver heavy drop carts.
- Possess a valid driver's license with no history of motor vehicle-related citations or arrest convictions within the last five years.
- Be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, including monitoring radio traffic, maintaining officer status and location logs, and answering telephone calls.
- Be familiar with and use basic Microsoft programs, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrate report writing skills and abilities.
- High School Diploma or GED, or ten years of experience in a related field.
- Obtain a CPR/First Aid certification within 90 days of employment.
- Customer service experience and effective communication skills.
- Ability to push and maneuver heavy drop carts weighing approximately 600 pounds, for extended periods, and lift up to 20 pounds.
- Ability to work in a smoke-filled, noisy environment for up to three hours at a time, perform repetitive motions with wrists, hands, and fingers, and have good visual and auditory acuity.
- Exhibit a professional demeanor through appearance and maintain a positive attitude toward all employees and guests.
- Requires a High-Security Gaming License clearance.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
The Security Officer will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, requiring the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively. The position will involve working in a smoke-filled, noisy environment, and the ability to lift up to 20 pounds and push heavy drop carts is required.
