Job Title: Surveillance OfficerWildhorse Resort and Casino is seeking a highly skilled Surveillance Officer to join our team. As a Surveillance Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity and protection of our assets, staff, and guests in all non-gaming areas of the casino and other WRC properties.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain surveillance of non-gaming areas as assigned by the security director.
- Monitor and record all irregular activities, as requested.
- Report any illegal activities to the proper authorities.
- Maintain confidentiality and non-disclosure regulations at all times.
- Maintain all aspects of the surveillance room.
- Monitor the escorting and transfer of WRC assets.
- Write detailed reports describing accidents, injuries, criminal conduct, suspicious activity, and other business disruptions.
- Promote a clean, safe, and healthy work environment for employees and guests.
- Ensure the operation of equipment, tools, and materials are handled safely and properly.
- Promote internal guest service standards through courteous and respectful behavior.
- Comply with regulatory laws, Employee Handbook, department policy and procedures, safety codes, etc.
- Must be able to work with a diverse group of people in a confined area.
- Six months experience working as a law enforcement officer/deputy, security/loss prevention officer, or security officer; OR Completion of a certificate/post-high school degree program in computer science/closely related field from an accredited institution; OR Special training in surveillance systems/operations.
- Read and apply procedural manuals.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Employment history that demonstrates dependability and longevity.
- Must have excellent knowledge of Microsoft applications.
- Will sit for long periods observing numerous monitors and operating a keyboard, answering phones and two-way radios.
- Effective communication skills - verbally instructs, responds to questions, and has exceptional interpersonal skills and abilities.
- Lift to 50 pounds.
- High degree of integrity and understanding of confidentiality.
- Requires a High-Security Gaming License clearance.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Practical work experience as a law enforcement officer/deputy, security officer, or surveillance officer.
- Thorough knowledge of casino operations and/or loss prevention.
