Manufacturing Team Supervisor

Oversee personnel in a production setting. Collaborate with the Cell Coordinator to organize and allocate tasks, ensure adherence to established protocols, and propose enhancements in manufacturing techniques, machinery, operational procedures, and workplace conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive throughput and ongoing quality enhancements within the framework of Lean manufacturing principles.
- Participate in a collaborative work team, fulfilling assigned duties and sharing objectives.
- Maintain regular communication with the Cell Coordinator, team members, and support staff regarding any issues affecting product quality, production efficiency, and safety across various shifts and departments.
- Provide insights to the Cell Coordinator concerning the budgeting of tools, materials, and other resources.
- Organize daily operations and manage staffing, including vacations and absences, for the work team.
- Employ problem-solving strategies to identify root causes and implement permanent solutions for challenges related to all facets of cell operations.
- Offer direct feedback to the Cell Coordinator on team members' performance and execute necessary disciplinary actions when required.
- Be prepared to step in for assigned team members to ensure continuous workflow.
- Assist the Cell Coordinator in guiding personnel through daily tasks, conducting team meetings, delivering regular performance evaluations, and monitoring team member progress.
- Support the Cell Coordinator in supervising staff, including recruitment, retention, performance management, and disciplinary measures.
- Contribute to departmental planning over a 30-day horizon and formulate action plans to achieve targeted outcomes.
- Consistent attendance as outlined in company policies is mandatory.

Team Leader Levels:
Reflecting the individual skill set of the Team Leader and the skills of the personnel supervised.
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or GED required; Associate's Degree preferred.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is essential.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in relevant fields based on the assigned position.
Competencies and Skills:
- General knowledge and experience with manufacturing operations and equipment.
- Proficient command of the English language, both verbal and written.
- Basic computer skills are necessary.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand, sit, stoop, squat, and walk as required.
- Capability to lift items weighing up to 30 pounds.
Work Environment:
Employees may encounter typical manufacturing conditions, including exposure to noise, airborne chemicals, and varying temperatures. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory, including safety glasses and hearing protection while on the manufacturing floor.
