Position Overview:
The Sourcing and Procurement Analyst plays a crucial role in managing the procurement process, focusing on the issuance of service purchase orders and overseeing the inventory of materials within the facility. This position reports directly to the Procurement Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Promotes and adheres to safety protocols within the designated area; actively engages in safety initiatives.
  • Demonstrates commitment and focus in all assigned responsibilities.
  • Aligns personal conduct with WestRock's core values: Integrity, Respect, Accountability, and Excellence.
  • Ensures compliance with environmental regulations and policies.
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders to enhance procurement efficiency.
  • Facilitates the initiation and setup of new vendors.
  • Assists the accounting department in resolving invoice discrepancies.
  • Supports corporate initiatives, including inventory reduction and the Pick, Kit, and Delivery process.
  • Provides backup support for the storeroom supervisor and other team members as needed.
  • Reviews supplier contracts and collaborates with legal and business teams to finalize agreements.
  • Generates purchase orders as necessary.
  • Works across departments to ensure timely contract renewals.
  • Participates in the weekend duty rotation.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in procurement is advantageous.
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement processes and policies.
  • Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
  • Capable of problem-solving, working independently, and managing multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office and JD Edwards, among other software.
  • Able to work effectively in a team setting.
  • Skilled in using spreadsheets, word processing software, and email.
  • Committed to maintaining safety in the mill environment.
