Crime Threat Analysis Role

**Job Summary**

The Crime Threat Analyst supports policing and crime prevention by applying data analysis to identify crime patterns and trends. This role utilizes various data sources to recognize patterns and communicates findings to DPS members.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Analyze crime data to determine possible crime patterns and prevalence
* Utilize a variety of data sources to recognize trends and patterns
* Communicate findings to DPS members

**Collaboration and Reporting**

This position collaborates with the Central New York Crime Analysis Center and reports to the Syracuse University Department of Public Safety Lieutenant of Investigations.

This role is funded by Syracuse University and plays a critical part in supporting policing and crime prevention efforts.
