At Sentara Healthcare, we are seeking a highly skilled Patient Services Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our physician practices.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate activities for specific physician practices, including insurance verification, precertification, scheduling, pre-registration, and order transmission.
- Ensure maximum reimbursement and reduce denials related to incomplete insurance information and/or authorization.
- Maintain statistics and act as liaison between clinical testing sites and physicians' offices.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Two years of experience in a healthcare environment or completion of a healthcare-related certificate program or Associate's Degree or higher or transferable skills (e.g., one year or more in a call center, customer service, etc.)
- Healthcare environment experience
- Healthcare-related certificate program completion
- Associate's Degree or higher
