Position: Controls Systems Engineer
Job Overview:
The Controls Systems Engineer will engage in all stages of customer projects, encompassing design, implementation, specification documentation, project oversight, and system validation. The ideal candidate will possess a strong familiarity with manufacturing environments and will adeptly manage the documentation processes alongside the development lifecycle of industrial applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate and execute an internal development strategy.
- Oversee the documentation, design, implementation, and testing of software applications, focusing on:
- Production data acquisition and management.
- Integration with ERP and/or process control systems (e.g., DeltaV, SAP) utilizing various protocols such as:
- OPC
- SQL
- MQTT
- Create reports for diverse functions, including:
- Batch Release
- Process Performance
- Alarm and Audit Trail
- Data Analytics, covering:
- OEE
- Predictive Analytics
- Predictive Maintenance
- Machine Learning
- Anomaly Detection
- Collaborate with clients to ensure necessary network connectivity and hardware are established.
- Work closely with clients and project teams to define specifications.
- Participate in the installation and commissioning of systems or applications, either remotely or on-site.
- Conduct qualification processes in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Support customer Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) requirements.
- Coordinate with Project Managers to adhere to budgetary and scheduling constraints.
- Engage with relevant stakeholders (e.g., Automation Lead, Quality) to develop and implement SDLC.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in software engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English, both spoken and written.
- Detail-oriented with a strong ability to identify testing requirements and accurately document system configurations.
- Experience in customer service and technical support.
- Proven ability to execute tasks within specified timelines and budgets.
- Basic understanding of network connectivity and devices.
