Position Overview:
The Supply Chain Transformation Lead is tasked with overseeing and directing the transformation process of suppliers and products within the supply chain framework. This position demands exceptional project management capabilities, in-depth knowledge of supply chain operations, and the aptitude to collaborate effectively with diverse teams to facilitate successful transformations, thereby supporting the overarching strategy, goals, and objectives of the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and oversee the comprehensive transformation process for suppliers and products, ensuring timely and effective execution.
  • Conduct detailed assessments of supplier competencies, product specifications, and supply chain needs to pinpoint potential risks and opportunities.
  • Track and monitor transformation progress, proactively identifying and addressing any challenges or delays that may occur.
  • Engage with suppliers to ensure cohesive alignment on transformation strategies, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Evaluate and report on transformation performance metrics, offering insights and recommendations for process enhancements.
  • Stay informed on industry developments and best practices regarding supply chain transformations, integrating them into the transformation strategy as necessary.
  • This strategic role is pivotal in crafting an optimized supply chain design.
  • Focus on results, ensuring commitments are met on time while continuously seeking process improvements.
  • Drive inventory optimization and transformation initiatives across the organization.
  • Effectively utilize resources such as workforce, space, equipment, inventory, and time to achieve objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams, including clinical staff, support services, and leadership.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with all departments by monitoring service levels and quality, ensuring open communication.
  • Exhibit strong project management skills to create and lead implementation plans for various projects and initiatives.
  • Demonstrate strong listening and problem-solving abilities, developing strategies to enhance process efficiency.
  • In collaboration with leadership, foster the growth and development of departmental staff through training and educational opportunities.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by leadership.

Compensation: Competitive salary range.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with comprehensive knowledge of Supply Chain Operations required.
Experience: A minimum of five years in Supply Chain Operations within a large health system is required. Four years of project planning and implementation experience is preferred. Proficiency in Supply Chain Database applications and at least ten years of experience in a similar role is preferred.
Licensure: None required.

Physical Demands:
This role primarily involves sedentary work with extensive use of desktop computers. Occasional travel may be required for meetings and programs.
