Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Postal Services Assistant to join our team at the State of California. This role involves managing mail services, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining accurate records.

Main Duties:

  • Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail with precision and efficiency.
  • Manage certified and registered mail records, ensuring accuracy and security.
  • Operate a postage meter and scale, processing mail with accuracy and proficiency.
  • Batch, sort, and stamp outgoing mail, meeting deadlines and quality standards.
  • Distribute newspapers and other materials to designated faculty and staff.

Compensation Package:

The estimated annual salary for this position is $45,000 - $65,000, based on experience and qualifications.

Required Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proven attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
