Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Human Resources Manager to join our team at Great Lakes Petroleum. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of HR functions and be able to drive strategic initiatives to support the company's growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruitment and Onboarding
    • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent
    • Design and deliver comprehensive onboarding programs to ensure a smooth transition for new hires
  • Employee Relations and Engagement
    • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes employee satisfaction and retention
    • Develop and implement employee recognition and reward programs to boost morale and motivation
  • Benefits Administration and Compliance
    • Administer and manage employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off
    • Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws, regulations, and company policies
  • HR Systems and Analytics
    • Manage HR information systems, including HRIS, payroll, and benefits administration
    • Develop and analyze HR metrics and reports to inform business decisions
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Minimum of 8 years of HR experience, with a minimum of 4 years of management experience
  • HR Certification preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of multi-state HR laws and regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, Windows, Outlook, and Excel, as well as electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, and spreadsheets
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • HRIS knowledge required, Paylocity experience a plus
