Position Overview

Revology Cars is seeking a Head of Automotive Product Innovation to lead our product development initiatives. This role is crucial in our mission to manufacture licensed reproduction rolling chassis and restored original automobiles.

Key Responsibilities

The Head of Automotive Product Innovation will manage all facets of vehicle development throughout the entire product lifecycle, from initial concept to final production.

  • Inspire and lead a diverse team of engineers, designers, and technicians, both in-house and contracted.
  • Foster employee development through career planning, coaching, and mentorship.
  • Formulate and implement strategies for continuous improvement in people, products, and processes.
  • Oversee project budgets and timelines, ensuring efficient resource allocation and timely delivery.
  • Communicate project progress, challenges, and achievements to executive leadership and stakeholders, while identifying risks and proposing mitigation strategies.
  • Establish and uphold stringent quality standards, ensuring products meet or exceed industry benchmarks.
  • Implement testing and validation processes to ensure product reliability and quality.
  • Promote a culture focused on design for assembly and customer satisfaction within the product development team.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction without sacrificing quality and reliability.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and collaborate with legal teams to navigate relevant guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in automotive engineering and product development.
  • Strong engineering foundation with comprehensive knowledge of automotive systems.
  • Familiarity with systems engineering and trade-off methodologies.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Effective communication skills for interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of APQP processes, Lean Manufacturing principles, and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Experience with Catia V5, VXelements, and Geomagic Design X and Control X is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive base salary ranging from $175,000 to $225,000, based on experience and qualifications.
  • Performance-based bonus potential of up to 25% based on individual and company objectives.
  • Comprehensive company-sponsored medical, dental, and vision insurance, along with an Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
  • 401(k) plan with a company match of up to 4%.
