Financial Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities:
- Compile and consolidate financial reports, statements, and local and state tax submissions.
- Assist in the creation and assessment of budgets, including the preparation of budgetary reports.
- Support the design and execution of internal control frameworks.
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll, identifying discrepancies and reconciling accounts.
- Assist the finance department with all aspects of the general ledger.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory standards.
- Prepare and manage accounts utilizing various software applications.
- Stay updated on changes in regulatory requirements and compile reports regarding compliance issues, standards, and accounting principles.
- Provide analyses on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Coordinate or assist with the budgeting process.
- Investigate accounting issues to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.
- Analyze and report on cost variances.
- Act as a liaison to external auditors.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on audit findings and offer recommendations to enhance accounting and management practices within the organization.
- Deliver leadership, training, and development to accounts receivable, accounts payable, and accounting personnel.
- Encourage a collaborative and positive team atmosphere, fostering open communication and teamwork.
- Perform additional tasks as directed by the supervisor.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline.
- 7-10 years of progressive experience in accounting.
- Prior experience as an accountant, financial operations manager, or in a comparable role is essential.
- Demonstrated experience in leading a team within a finance or accounting environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Suite.
- Familiarity with NetSuite or a similar ERP system.
- Strong analytical skills to resolve accounting discrepancies and challenges.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
- Capability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
- Relevant accounting certifications are advantageous.
- Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
