Financial Transaction Specialist

LHH Recruitment Solutions seeks an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist for a client located in Livermore, California.

This 100% in-office role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of all accounts payable transactions.

The ideal candidate will maintain financial records, verify invoices, and collaborate with internal departments and external vendors/suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and verify high volumes of invoices accurately and efficiently.
  • Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents to ensure proper payment authorization.
  • Code and enter invoices into the accounting system with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors regarding payment inquiries and discrepancies.
  • Prepare and process electronic payments and issue checks as needed.
  • Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain organized and accurate accounts payable records for audit purposes.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and changes in accounting regulations.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and best practices (3-way match).
  • Proficiency in accounting software Coupa is a plus.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of relevant accounting regulations and compliance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
