POSITION SUMMARY
As the Supervisor of Central Loan Processing, you will oversee the operations of the loan processing team, ensuring adherence to bank policies and regulatory standards. This role is pivotal in providing support to Loan Officers and ensuring efficient processing and closing of loan files.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
To perform this role effectively, the following duties are essential:

  1. Manage and coordinate the workflow of loan files, ensuring timely completion by collaborating with Loan Officers, processors, and closers.
  2. Evaluate loan documentation for accuracy and completeness before assigning tasks to processors, while ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and regulations.
  3. Identify and address any processing or documentation issues that may arise, facilitating communication between customers, bank staff, and external parties.
  4. Keep the team updated on new policies and procedures, conducting regular training sessions to enhance staff knowledge and skills.
  5. Review and authorize financial transactions initiated by team members, ensuring accuracy in ledger entries and compliance with bank standards.
  6. Assist Loan Officers with complex documentation needs and conduct final reviews of loan documents prior to borrower closing.
  7. Develop and implement training schedules for loan processors and management associates.

QUALIFICATIONS
To excel in this position, candidates should meet the following criteria:

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
Minimum:

A Bachelor's degree in a business-related field along with two years of experience in commercial loan processing or lending, or five years of related experience including two years in a commercial loan processing role; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Additionally, one year of experience in a supervisory capacity is required.

Preferred:

A Bachelor's degree in a business-related field with three years of experience in commercial loan processing or lending, or six years of related experience including three years in a commercial loan processing role; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in mortgage lending, escrow, title insurance, or loan servicing is also preferred, along with two years of demonstrated supervisory experience.


SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Candidates should possess the ability to manage workflow efficiently in a high-volume environment. Familiarity with financial documents and reports is essential. Proficiency in Windows-based word processing and spreadsheet applications is required, while database experience is preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Strong reading, analytical, and interpretative skills are necessary for understanding business publications, technical procedures, and regulatory guidelines. The ability to compose reports and correspondence effectively is also required.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Basic mathematical skills, including understanding of probability and statistical inference, are necessary. Candidates should be able to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, and ratios to practical scenarios.

REASONING ABILITY:
The ability to identify problems, gather data, and draw valid conclusions is crucial. Candidates should be adept at interpreting complex instructions and managing multiple variables.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical requirements for this position include regular sitting, use of hands for tasks, and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

WORKING CONDITIONS
The work environment is typically moderate in noise level, conducive to focused work and collaboration.
