Business Development Intern

Connecticut Innovations is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Venture Team Intern to join our team. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in venture capital, working closely with our experienced team members to identify and evaluate new investment opportunities, conduct due diligence on existing portfolio companies, and provide administrative support to the investment team.
Responsibilities:
- Research and analyze potential investment opportunities
- Conduct due diligence on existing portfolio companies
- Prepare and present reports to the CI Investment Committee
- Provide administrative support to the investment team
- Collaborate with other teams within CI to identify and pursue new business opportunities
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, computer science, engineering, or another related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of financial statements, business plans, and other financial and legal documents
