Position Title: Legal Assistant/Paralegal
Compensation: $37,500-$50,000 annually with bonus opportunities
Employment Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Work Schedule: Monday-Thursday 8:00 am-5:00 pm, Friday 8:00 am-2:30 pm
Role Overview: The ideal candidate will assist in managing legal documents, court procedures, and liaising with various parties involved in legal matters.
- Support the preparation of legal documentation and coordinate the service of these documents.
- Monitor deadlines and ensure adherence to filing requirements.
- Engage professionally with debtors, employers, financial institutions, and court personnel.
- Maintain systematic and organized case files.
- Execute administrative duties and electronically file documents.
Required Qualifications:
- Associate degree or equivalent experience in a legal setting
- At least 1 year of experience in a legal assistant or paralegal role
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software
- Strong knowledge of civil court procedures
- Exceptional communication and organizational abilities
