Position Summary:

The Construction Project Coordinator will collaborate closely with the General Manager of Construction Operations to strategize, oversee, and synchronize activities related to the construction and upkeep of various structures, facilities, and systems. This role involves assisting in the initial development of construction projects while managing their organization, scheduling, budgeting, and execution. The ideal candidate will exhibit exceptional organizational skills and thrive in a dynamic work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the timely production of necessary deliverables.
  • Plan and oversee project timelines and milestones.
  • Prepare and monitor project submissions.
  • Engage with subcontractors, project stakeholders, and primary contractors.
  • Generate and submit project billing.
  • Document and update change orders and manage permit applications.
  • Coordinate internal resources and external vendors for seamless project execution.
  • Work alongside the Field Superintendent to guarantee projects are completed on schedule, within scope, and budget.
  • Develop project scopes and objectives, ensuring all relevant stakeholders are involved and technical feasibility is assessed.
  • Collaborate with the Estimator and Superintendent to formulate a detailed project plan and monitor progress.
  • Utilize appropriate verification methods to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs.
  • Evaluate project performance using suitable systems, tools, and techniques.
  • Report and escalate issues to management as necessary.
  • Manage relationships with clients and all stakeholders effectively.
  • Conduct risk management to mitigate project risks.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with external vendors.
  • Create and uphold comprehensive project documentation.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management based on the needs of Nor-Cal Pipeline Services.

Qualifications:

  • Management experience in trenchless construction (CIPP Lining) is preferred.
  • Experience in the following sectors is advantageous:
    • Pipeline Rehabilitation
    • Pipeline Inspection
    • Pipeline Cleaning
  • Familiarity with profit and loss management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret regulations and other documents effectively.
  • Experience in employee relations, customer service, leadership, mentoring, and training.
  • Comprehensive understanding of asset utilization for profitability.
  • Must be driven, innovative, dedicated, and self-motivated.
  • Extensive knowledge of all phases of the construction process, including pre-construction, procurement, service execution, and project closeout.
  • Hands-on field experience is preferred.

  • Adaptability to various assignments and environments; ability to communicate effectively with corporate officials and all management levels.
  • Demonstrate integrity and support for the company, clients, and industry partners.
  • Proactive in seeking clarification and capable of working independently or collaboratively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with various Construction Management software is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Commitment to quality by evaluating project-related processes and implementing necessary improvements.
  • Ability to interpret plans and specifications as well as contract inclusions and exclusions.
