Position Overview: As a Financial Project Coordinator, you will play a vital role in managing the financial aspects of our projects within the Transportation Sector. Your primary responsibilities will include generating monthly invoices for clients, tracking receivables, and processing contractual agreements. Collaboration with project managers to evaluate financial health and invoicing processes will be essential. This role is expected to begin with a part-time commitment of 30 hours per week in the office, with a transition to full-time and a hybrid work model anticipated.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare FAR-compliant documentation for proposals and projects.
  • Manage and process client contracts and amendments.
  • Oversee sub-consultant contracts and invoices.
  • Maintain financial and contractual records using Deltek Ajera and SharePoint.
  • Compile client invoice packages and follow up on outstanding payments.
  • Generate project financial status reports.
  • Assist with general office and administrative tasks as required.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in project accounting within engineering, construction, or architectural firms.
  • Strong understanding of direct and indirect costs in accordance with FAR & GAAP accounting principles.
  • Ability to request and process insurance certificates.
  • Familiarity with AASHTO Uniform Auditing & Accounting Guide requirements.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Technical Proficiencies:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Edge, Project).
  • Ability to work with complex Excel spreadsheets (including pivot tables, formulas, and VLOOKUP).
  • Experience with project management software, preferably Deltek Ajera.
