Job Summary:

As a key member of the Harlow's Casino Resort & Spa team, the Security Shift Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our guests and employees. This position is responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of the Security Department on assigned shifts, in accordance with the company's established policies, procedures, and controls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervision and Leadership: Directly supervise and lead a team of Security Officers and/or First Responders on assigned shifts, providing guidance and support to ensure the effective execution of security protocols.
  • Guest and Employee Interaction: Act as a representative of the property, interacting with guests and team members in a courteous and professional manner, promoting a positive and respectful environment.
  • Training and Development: Train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate Security Officers on assigned shifts, ensuring they possess the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Recruitment and Selection: Assist the department head with recruitment efforts, including interviewing and selecting candidates for Security Officer positions.
  • Incident Reporting and Documentation: Patrol the property on assigned shifts, identifying potential security and/or safety hazards, and report same to the appropriate individual to ensure the safety and protection of guests and team members.
  • Backup Support: Act as a backup to Security Officers on assigned shifts and assume their duties when necessary, ensuring seamless coverage and continuity.
  • Administrative Tasks: Responsible for the documentation of incident reports, etc. on assigned shifts, and assist in the daily operations of the Security Department.
