Position Overview

The Educational Program Coordinator will be responsible for supporting a cluster of P-TECH/ECHS institutions, typically encompassing 3-5 campuses. This role focuses on enhancing student achievement through effective monitoring and intervention strategies, particularly aimed at 12th-grade participants in the P-TECH/ECHS initiative, facilitating their transition to higher education or career pathways.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct Campus Support: Provide on-site assistance with an emphasis on tracking student progress and implementing targeted interventions.
  • Academic Growth Initiatives: Collaborate on strategies to enhance the academic performance of early college students through comprehensive support systems.
  • Partnership Development: Work in conjunction with higher education institutions to bolster student success rates within the program.
  • Data Management: Regularly meet with students to gather dual-credit performance data and input this information into the monitoring platform, ensuring clear communication with stakeholders regarding student outcomes.
  • Instructional Practices: Analyze student performance data to inform instructional strategies and interventions, fostering an environment of continuous improvement.
  • Collaboration with Leadership: Engage with P-TECH/ECHS leadership teams to devise effective recruitment and retention strategies aligned with educational standards.
  • Family Engagement: Assist students and their families during the application process, providing essential information about program offerings.
  • Intervention Planning: Collaborate with educational staff to organize and facilitate TSIA2 intervention sessions and boot camps aimed at meeting student needs.
  • Professional Development: Deliver training sessions for campus staff to enhance their understanding of assessment standards and instructional resources, ultimately improving student success rates.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution.
  • Preferred: Valid Texas Teacher Certificate with appropriate endorsements.
  • 3-5 years of experience in administrative roles or educational coaching.
  • Proven track record in implementing educational programs within a high school context.
  • Strong understanding of early college programs and effective instructional methodologies.
  • Ability to mentor and coach educational professionals.
  • Experience working with diverse student populations and engaging with external stakeholders.
