Control Systems Engineer

Position Overview:
Our client is seeking three skilled Automation Engineers to enhance their Engineering team. These positions are structured as multi-year contracts, offering competitive hourly compensation based on experience, alongside comprehensive medical benefits covering 50% of the employee-only cost, a minimum of two weeks of paid time off, dedicated local support from a Relationship Manager, and a 401K plan with the highest matching in the technical staffing sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver precise electrical design and automation programming for designated projects.
- Generate estimates and technical timelines for all stages of process equipment addition, replacement, or enhancement.
- Provide backup support and training to plant maintenance teams on newly implemented automation systems.
- Collaborate with internal support groups to achieve objectives and offer contract engineering management and guidance as necessary.
- Engage in significant capital projects and/or modifications from inception to completion, including equipment reception, commissioning, and acceptance.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electromechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, with 2-4 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in electrical design standards and capable of completing control systems designs using standard CAD tools, with familiarity in SEE Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical, or AutoCAD Electrical being advantageous.
- Experience with Rockwell PLC programming standards and software, including GRAFCET, Ladder Logic, and Structured Text.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Willingness to travel domestically and occasionally internationally.
- Experience with Variable Frequency Drives and Motion Control technologies, particularly with Control Techniques, SEW MOVIMOT, and Rockwell.
- Familiarity with HMI PanelView and knowledge of FactoryTalkView ME Studio.
- Understanding of control systems network interfaces and various communication protocols between devices and computer system databases.
- Project Team Leadership or Project Management experience is a plus.
- Experience with Vision System configuration for measurement and defect detection applications is preferred.
- Robotic experience, particularly with Fanuc or ABB, is also a plus.
