Daily Responsibilities:
Insight Global is seeking an Automation Engineer to support a prominent manufacturing client. This role involves providing both hardware and software automation solutions that enhance operational efficiency across production sites. The engineer will be responsible for deploying standard solutions across various locations, configuring tests, installing systems, and managing projects while documenting all activities related to production ramp-up. Additionally, the engineer will offer technical support for existing solutions.
- Develop comprehensive and intricate automation systems adhering to automation and electrical engineering standards to deliver optimal solutions that meet functional specifications while ensuring cost-effectiveness.
- Create setup, installation, and commissioning documentation.
- Demonstrate the ability to configure and initiate individual automation components and program the overall system.
- Design a complete automation system architecture.
- Effectively configure and initiate automation systems, including components, controllers, drives, networks, and interfaces with Level 2 supervisory systems.
- Independently create, edit, and modify PLC programs.
- Independently create, edit, and modify HMI programs.
- Conduct risk safety analyses during the design, installation, and commissioning phases.
- Facilitate design reviews with experts to validate the robustness and optimization of proposed solutions.
- Configure PID for servo loop feedback control systems.
- Implement Level 1 control systems integrated with Level 2 supervisory systems.
- Perform cycle simulations and offline programming, including robotics.
- Design and validate Ethernet network security measures in collaboration with experts.
- Configure and initiate slave systems, including motion and non-speed regulation, in conjunction with the main system.
