Role Overview:
The Quality Engineer plays a crucial role in the development and upkeep of the Quality Management System. This includes the formulation of methods, procedures, and processes aimed at enhancing product quality, inspection efficiency, and supplier performance in alignment with the Corporate Quality Policy.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the maintenance of the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System.
- Conduct scheduled Compliance and Leadership Quality Audits, providing recommendations for process enhancements based on audit findings.
- Analyze process-related non-conformances and manage the disposition of non-conforming parts or assemblies identified during inspections.
- Define and document acceptance criteria for manufacturing operations.
- Investigate manufacturing area scrap to identify root causes and suggest improvements.
- Analyze First Pass Yield Rate data to uncover potential issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing to implement Engineering Changes and participate in new process implementations and product transfers.
- Engage with third-party agencies for approvals and maintain relevant databases, addressing any outstanding issues.
- Represent ASCO Power Technologies on Standards Committees as required.

Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Quality) is required.
- Training in Statistical Analysis and Root Cause Failure Analysis Techniques is essential.
- Proficiency in ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System, Auditing, Process Mapping, and Supplier Controls is mandatory.
- A minimum of five years of experience in Quality Engineering is preferred.
- Familiarity with third-party agency approval processes (UL, CSA, IEC, etc.) is advantageous.
- Knowledge of Lean Initiatives, 6 Sigma (Yellow/Green/Black Belts) is a plus.

Skills:
- Strong communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with various departments, vendors, and customers.
- Ability to analyze and improve existing processes based on customer requirements and corporate directives.
- Capability to present recommendations and develop actionable plans in a professional manner.
