About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to join the Prisma Health team as a Compensation Analyst. As a key member of the Human Resources department, you will play a critical role in administering complex compensation programs and initiatives that support the organization's strategic plan.

Key Responsibilities

  • Compensation Program Administration
    • Administer salary and wage programs, ensuring equitable and consistent application of compensation policies and guidelines.
    • Conduct market analyses and job evaluations for assigned areas, recommending appropriate salary grades and job titles based on external market data and/or analysis of internal positions.
  • Salary Administration
    • Advises management regarding salary administration problems and issues, including hiring offers, incentive and merit evaluations, equity adjustments, and other pay-related issues.
    • Monitors compliance with compensation policies and guidelines, collaborating with management and other Human Resources functional areas to enhance the level of human resources support provided to departments.
  • Compensation Projects and Initiatives
    • Formulates, develops, and implements organization-wide compensation projects and initiatives, conducting cost analysis projects as necessary to determine financial impact of job grade adjustments and equity adjustments.
    • Collects and manipulates data obtained throughout the use of HRIS and payroll software and manual data collection methods.
  • Market Research and Analysis
    • Conducts annual review of market conditions to determine appropriate salary structure changes and specifications for annual merit program.
    • Compiles and analyzes cost implications for merit and salary structure recommendations, assisting in the development of the annual salary budget.
  • Special Pay Requests and Compliance
    • Coordinates and processes special pay requests, identifying and resolving problems regarding employee compensation.
    • Maintains knowledge of legal issues, including Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), and advises management regarding legal compliance.
  • Job Classifications and Data Management
    • Maintains current job description database, ensuring individual employee records are accurate and up-to-date.
    • Maintains and updates job class tables in Human Resources Information Systems, coordinating with Employee Information as necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or closely related field.
  • 3 years of proven analytical experience in Compensation, Human Resources, Finance, or related field, with 2 years in healthcare, preferably.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PHR, SHRM-CP, or Certified Compensation Professional.
  • Experience administering federal and state wage and hour laws.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position, working in a corporate office environment. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and manage multiple priorities and tasks, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
