Position Summary:

The Accounting Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing, guiding, and supporting the Finance Department Managers across our managed venues. This position is both rewarding and challenging, offering an uplifting environment and critical responsibilities that impact our clients and the communities we serve.

The Accounting Manager will be tasked with reviewing financial activities and transactions for venues, including the preparation of monthly financial statements, assisting General Managers with annual budgeting, overseeing financial reviews, controls, and audits, conducting high-level business analyses, and occasionally performing accounting functions for designated venues. This role will also involve indirect supervision of Finance Department Managers at various locations.

Key Responsibilities:

Essential duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversee the monthly closing process, ensuring accurate financial records and timely completion of venue-level transactions.
  • Supervise the preparation of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP, including pro forma reports and dashboards for management and client review.
  • Conduct financial analyses and investigate discrepancies in financial statements.
  • Perform internal audits to ensure compliance with financial regulations and controls, executing review/audit programs, and analyzing records and reports.
  • Evaluate venue systems and internal controls for vulnerabilities and implement necessary improvements.
  • Participate in the recruitment process for open Finance Department Manager positions.
  • Provide training and development for newly hired Finance Department Managers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • Prior accounting and supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience with multi-location operations and consolidations is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in financial management and accounting systems.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Excellent management, leadership, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Able to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Travel Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel overnight to various venues, estimated at 50% of the time.
