Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Truck Loader Machine Operator to join our team at Hadco Metal Trading Co, LLC. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely operating forklifts to load and offload flatbed trucks, moving materials, and operating machinery to cut aluminum, stainless steel, and other alloys to meet customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely Operate Forklifts: Load and offload flatbed trucks, ensuring accurate counts, weights, and measurements of material.
  • Verify Material Quality: Inspect material for quality and accuracy, verifying counts, weights, and measurements.
  • Prepare Shipping Containers: Assemble wood or cardboard containers for shipping material, securing them using nail guns and metal strapping.
  • Deliver Completed Orders: Transport completed orders to customers using company vehicles.
  • Collaborate with Production Manager: Work closely with the Production Manager to ensure customer delivery requirements are met.
Requirements
  • Proven Work History: Minimum 2 years of experience as a forklift operator, with a proven track record of reporting to work on time.
  • Operational Experience: Ability to use measuring tools and perform math calculations, including fractions and decimals.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to read and write English, with strong communication skills.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand, sit, bend, stoop, and stretch, with the ability to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly.
  • Independence: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, with a detail-oriented and multi-tasking approach.
  • Computer Skills: Familiarity with basic computer systems.
  • Driving Record: Must have a clean driving record.
  • Age Requirement: Minimum 18 years of age.
