Cost Accountant

Overview of the Position and Company:

  • This is a newly established role within a leading organization in the industry.

  • The starting annual salary is $90,000.

Key Responsibilities of the Cost Accountant:

  • Develop and maintain cost allocations for manufacturing overhead and establish cost standards for production equipment.
  • Evaluate previous standard costing to ensure precision and relevance.
  • Revise and enhance the internal cost documentation.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on project planning, costing, and identifying key cost drivers for processes and products.
  • Ensure that accounting software reflects the actual Bill of Materials (BOM) used in production and that costs are aligned with current standards.
  • Support the accounting team with account reconciliations as necessary.

Preferred Qualifications for the Cost Accountant:

  • A Bachelor's degree in accounting is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in cost accounting or cost analysis is preferred.
