Reports To: Brokerage Director

Overview

The Brokerage Customer Service Representative plays a crucial role in assisting our Agency Force with property and casualty insurance matters that are brokered to external companies.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Property and casualty insurance license is required post-hire.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities.
  • Demonstrated work ethic with a focus on delivering quality results in a timely manner.
  • Friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills, capable of working independently and collaboratively.
  • Willingness to learn and understand agency policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to inquiries via email and phone from the Agency Force regarding policy servicing.
  • Provide quotes and bind coverage for various property and casualty lines.
  • Process applications for new business and renewals.
  • Manage invoicing for new business, additional premiums, and renewals.
  • Maintain accurate client documentation within the Agency Management System.
  • Distribute policies and related forms throughout the policy period.
  • Issue certificates of insurance as needed.
  • Forward claims notifications to the appropriate companies and assist with related correspondence.
  • Handle renewal, cancellation, and reinstatement documentation as required.
  • Verify membership status for clients.
