Business Development Representative

Job OverviewWe're seeking a Business Development Representative to play a key role in developing and maintaining client relationships, setting strategic goals, tracking progress, and driving sales activity across multiple industries. As a Business Development Representative at Interstates, you'll have the opportunity to work with a growing company that offers competitive pay and a generous benefits package.
Responsibilities- Client Relationship Development: Identify, interview, evaluate, and qualify potential clients to build a robust client network.
- Business and Technical Challenges: Diagnose business and technical challenges faced by prospects and provide solutions to meet their needs.
- Proposal Development: Assist in developing and presenting proposals to clients to secure signed contracts.
- Client Satisfaction: Regularly visit clients to assess satisfaction and identify additional needs.
- Industry Research: Conduct industry research and contribute to setting strategic direction.
- Communication: Clearly communicate our value proposition to customers and lead proposal teams by setting clear direction.
- Record Keeping: Maintain organized records of meetings, phone calls, and emails.
- Sales Calls and Educational Activities: Plan and organize sales calls and educational activities for clients and prospective clients.
- A 4-year degree in Business, Engineering, or Technology is preferred.
- 2-5 years of experience in selling services; experience in construction is a plus.
- Strong organizational abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to change.
- A collaborative team player with a drive to support others.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
$65,000 - $85,000 per year, based on location and experience.
