Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Operations Director to join our team at Clinical Laboratories of Hawaii, LLP. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the company's accounting and billing functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the company's accounting and billing processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Develop and implement financial planning and budgeting systems to ensure accurate forecasting and financial reporting.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to department staff, ensuring that accounting practices are followed in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the Billing Manager to ensure claims are processed promptly and accurately to meet the organization's revenue goals.
  • Assist the Chief Financial Officer as required, providing financial analysis and recommendations to support business decisions.
  • Prepare statistical reports as requested for internal and external purposes.
  • Monitor department staff performance, complete periodic evaluations, and counsel and discipline staff as necessary in accordance with human resource guidelines.
  • Maintain staff schedules, approve timesheets, and monitor PTO to ensure that staff is available to handle daily activities.
  • Regularly train team members and update them on new policies and procedures.
  • Share knowledge with others to accomplish assigned tasks effectively.
  • Adhere to confidentiality, safety, compliance, and legal requirements.
  • Maintain consistent and reliable attendance and comply with company guidelines.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience is required, with a strong background in accounting and financial management.
  • CPA certification from the State of Hawaii is required.
  • Proficiency with accounting software, PC computers, and 10-key calculators.
  • Excellent math, analytical, and data entry skills required.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills required.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent English communication (verbal and written) skills, including by telephone.
  • Excellent computer skills, especially with Excel and database applications.
  • A high degree of creativity and ability to think strategically.
