Position Overview

The Personal Injury Protection Claims Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the performance and operations of a dedicated team of 5-7 Claims Representatives focused on Personal Injury Protection claims. This role involves collaboration with fellow PIP Supervisors to manage the office's overall claim backlog while providing essential technical training and guidance to claims associates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the team in the effective management of Personal Injury Protection and Extended Medical Expense claims, ensuring compliance with NJ State Department of Insurance Regulations, AICRA Guidelines, and other relevant state regulations.
  • Plan and monitor team activities to meet production and quality objectives, identifying trends and implementing solutions in collaboration with other Supervisors and Directors.
  • Conduct quality reviews of team members' work, providing monthly performance analyses to Office Management.
  • Ensure timely completion of Large Loss Reports and maintain accuracy in authority levels and reserves.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance team skills and performance.
  • Research and interpret state and federal regulations, statutes, and policy language to ensure compliance.
  • Evaluate team performance through regular assessments and conduct performance reviews.
  • Foster a positive work environment by motivating team members and maintaining high morale.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience in PIP and multi-peril claims management.
  • A minimum of five to seven years of related experience, preferably with supervisory responsibilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Tableau is advantageous.
