Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Director of Development and Community Partnerships to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to work with our programs, enhance your training and experience, and make a meaningful impact in the lives of our community members.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategies to identify, cultivate, and solicit major and planned gifts from individual and corporate donors.
- Research and identify potential donors based on their philanthropic interests and potential for giving.
- Utilize a Customer Relationship Manager (CRM) to track relationship development, donations, and inform fundraising strategies.
- Collaborate with key thought leaders, partners, and top donors to identify new opportunities for strategic philanthropic partnerships.
- Coordinate with CEO and other leadership to schedule and facilitate in-person or virtual meetings and tours of Amity campuses.
- Maintain regular contact with philanthropic partners and coordinate donor recognition strategies and events as needed.
- Assist with new project launches to ensure the vision of each philanthropic partner is incorporated.
- Provide critical information to the Grants and Development Team regarding proposal deadlines.
- Coordinate all data and complete reports as required.
- Bachelor's degree (BA).
- Strong track record in a fundraising role securing major gifts of 6-7 figures.
- Demonstrated self-starter.
- Experience with CRM databases.
- Demonstrated understanding of the California philanthropic landscape.
- Ability to understand and articulate the specific needs and benefits of supporting individuals and families returning home from incarceration; and individuals suffering from homelessness, addiction, and other traumas.
