The TEN Credit Union is on the lookout for a Customer Support Specialist to join our dedicated team in the Call Center.
Compensation: $20/hr.
This role will operate from our Main Office.
Our office hours are typically Monday - Thursday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM and Friday 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM. This position generally involves an average of 40 hours per week, with the possibility of extended hours when necessary.

The TENCU Call Center is a full-time, fast-paced environment, ideal for energetic individuals eager to advance their careers in the credit union sector.
The perfect candidate will deliver exceptional member service while demonstrating warmth and friendliness through telephone and other remote communication channels, aiming for first-call resolution for all member inquiries. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, maintain a professional demeanor, and exhibit a genuine attitude to ensure an outstanding member experience every time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting members via phone and email
- Completing transactions
- Providing information on products and services
- Performing account maintenance
- Assisting in processing applications for consumer loans via phone and email, in compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures.
REQUIREMENTS
- General knowledge of Credit Union operations, products, and services.
- Professional appearance and behavior, especially the ability to manage multiple requests, problem situations, and frequent interruptions.
- Pleasant telephone voice and personal demeanor.
- Ability to work in a non-smoking environment.
- Ability to sit for extended periods, with repetitive use of the phone handset.
- Ability to sit for long durations.
- Ability to use a computer for extended periods.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1 year of customer service experience required, preferably in a call center or similar role.
- Prior experience in a financial institution is preferred.
