Job Overview

Role Summary

The Program Support Specialist plays a crucial role in facilitating the operations of educational initiatives aimed at supporting at-risk youth. This position requires a high school diploma with a minimum of five years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree with at least one year of related experience. Strong communication and writing skills are essential for success in this role.

Desired Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree is preferred. Familiarity with Federal TRIO programs is advantageous. The ideal candidate will have experience working collaboratively with educational staff, students, and families, particularly in overcoming challenges faced by underserved populations.

Key Responsibilities

The incumbent will:

  • Manage electronic communications and documentation.
  • Process requisitions and obtain necessary approvals.
  • Organize and maintain all digital records related to program applications and participant updates.
  • Perform data entry into the electronic record-keeping system for initial applications and annual updates.
  • Provide administrative and logistical assistance to program personnel.
  • Carry out general office tasks, including report preparation, program mailings, participant evaluation data organization, and event scheduling.
  • Support key staff in executing project activities.
  • Exhibit the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned.

Employment Conditions

• Proof of eligibility to work in the United States is required.

• Travel may be necessary to support program coordinators.

• Professional attire is expected for meetings and presentations.

• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs is required.

• A satisfactory background check is mandatory.
