Our facility features multiple examination rooms, an on-site blood bank, and a comprehensive pharmacy to ensure timely and effective treatment. Our surgical suite is equipped with continuous monitoring systems to guarantee the highest level of care for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
As an Animal Care Specialist, your responsibilities will include:

  • Restraint and triage of incoming patients.
  • Collection and analysis of laboratory samples.
  • Diagnostic imaging and management of medical cases.
  • Administration of medications and effective communication of treatment plans to clients.
  • Preparation and assistance during surgical procedures, including anesthetic management.

Applicants should be prepared to handle various challenges, including exposure to unpleasant odors and potential risks associated with animal care.

Qualifications:
We are seeking candidates who possess:

  • A strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
  • Timeliness and readiness to work.
  • A minimum of one year of relevant experience; certification as a CVT/RVT/LVT is advantageous.
  • Availability on weekends.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and precise communication abilities.
  • Competence in interpreting medical records and accurately documenting client histories.
  • Knowledge of preventative care and surgical procedures.
  • Ability to safely restrain animals in a low-stress manner.
  • Proficiency in sample collection and laboratory processing.
  • Experience in radiography, including dental imaging.
  • Skills in anesthesia and surgical monitoring.
  • A proactive approach to learning and professional development.
  • Ability to accept constructive feedback professionally.

Working Conditions:
Our work environment may include:

  • Extended periods of sitting or standing while working on a computer.
  • Interaction with various animal species.
  • Potential for working more than 40 hours per week during busy periods.
  • Special working hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Exposure to moderate noise levels.
  • Physical demands including lifting up to 50 pounds and performing various physical tasks.

Compensation and Benefits:
We offer a competitive pay range of $16-$21 per hour, commensurate with experience and licensure. Our benefits package includes:
