Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Sterile Processing Coordinator to join our team at AdventHealth Tampa. As a key member of our surgical services department, you will be responsible for managing the instrument inventory, tracking system, and coordinating instrument and set changes with our service coordinators.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the instrument inventory, including ordering instruments, organizing storage areas, and coordinating repair and maintenance.
  • Understand and optimize the instrument tracking system, working closely with the SPD educator as needed.
  • Collaborate with service coordinators for tray changes, onboarding new surgeons, and creating new trays.
  • Adhere to AdventHealth Corporate Compliance Plan and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Certified Sterile Processing Technician.
  • Completed Sterile Processing core curriculum.
  • Certification as an instrument technician.
  • Sterile Processing & Distribution certification.
