Certified Central Sterile Processing Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Central Sterile Technician to join our team at AdventHealth Tampa. As a key member of our surgical services department, you will be responsible for processing and sterilizing medical/surgical supplies and equipment to ensure a safe and efficient operating environment.
Responsibilities- Process and sterilize medical/surgical supplies and equipment according to established protocols and guidelines.
- Disassemble, clean, disinfect, and reassemble contaminated instruments and equipment.
- Separate and prepare contaminated supplies for cleaning and sterilization.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to ensure smooth operation of the central service department.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain certification and stay up-to-date with industry developments.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- One year experience in processing and sterilization.
- Current status as a certified registered central service technician (CRCST) or Certified Sterile Processing Distribution Tech (CSPDT).
- Completion of educational requirements to maintain certification.
- Successful completion of an approved central service technician course or competency certification through national organization (IAHCSMM or CBSPD).
