Job Overview:

This role is integral in delivering administrative and financial assistance to the Director of Student Success, along with faculty and staff within the department. Responsibilities include prioritizing tasks, delegating responsibilities, and overseeing office operations to maintain efficiency.

As the primary liaison for the unit, you will facilitate travel arrangements, manage the Director's calendar, and coordinate appointments impacting the Student Success Team. You will play a key role in addressing issues as they arise and disseminating information within the unit, providing guidance on databases, reporting methods, and established protocols.

In the realm of financial and human resources management, you will supervise the processing of financial transactions and HR data, approving transactions as necessary. You will be accountable for all fiscal activities within the unit, including p-card transactions, travel logistics, reimbursements, purchase orders, and monthly financial reconciliations. Maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive information is a vital aspect of this position, ensuring compliance with relevant policies.

Your responsibilities will also encompass managing office supplies, overseeing mail distribution, maintaining equipment, and enforcing security protocols. Furthermore, you will be tasked with drafting reports, creating presentations, and preparing materials for various events, as well as handling special administrative projects. This position may involve supervising, training, and evaluating other staff members to ensure they adhere to departmental standards and objectives. Monitoring budgets and participating in grant-related activities will also be part of your duties.

Expected Salary:

Compensation will range from $ - $ annually, based on education and experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree and three years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Familiarity with university systems and similar platforms.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, prioritize tasks with minimal supervision, and manage complex responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet applications.
  • Experience with collaboration tools such as Teams and Zoom.
  • Capability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Prior experience and/or training with university purchasing cards.
