Client Relations Account Specialist

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Client Relations Account Specialist to join our team. This role will report to the Client Services Manager and will be instrumental in overseeing the order management process, ensuring timely deliveries, and enhancing the overall customer experience across Atkore.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all facets of client service, including order entry, tracking, invoicing, and shipment coordination.
  • Engage in extensive communication with sales representatives to manage orders, inquiries, and follow-ups in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with various departments such as demand planning, pricing, logistics, quality assurance, and accounts receivable to enhance delivery performance.
  • Administer regional territory and agent processes to elevate customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators relevant to your territory.
  • Analyze traffic reports for your designated area.
  • Support the Manager with month-end financial processes.
  • Provide assistance with desk coverage as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a sales or customer-facing capacity.
  • At least 1 year of experience in customer service within a lean manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in CRM software is required.
  • Experience in a lean manufacturing or business systems-oriented organization is preferred.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with JD Edwards is advantageous.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Capability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Proven track record of building strong client relationships.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Within the First Three Months:
  • Complete Atkore's onboarding and immersion program.
  • Understand how your role aligns with Atkore's mission and strategic objectives.
  • Participate in a cross-functional team Kaizen to drive process improvements.
  • Engage in basic order inquiries, entries, and follow-up activities.
Within Six Months:
  • Independently manage an assigned territory from purchase order receipt to invoicing.
  • Work towards achieving or surpassing departmental daily KPI metrics.
  • Audit shipments for timely delivery and resolve inventory and pricing discrepancies.
  • Conduct monthly calls with agents to ensure engagement and adherence to standard procedures.
Within Twelve Months:
  • Oversee multiple territories within a region while minimizing shipping costs.
  • Drive innovation in your role by optimizing processes to enhance customer service efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities to reinforce the team's commitment to Atkore's core values: Accountability, Teamwork, Integrity, Respect, and Excellence.
