Position Overview:

As a Private Equity Fund Financial Specialist at Leap Brands, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial operations related to our private equity investment funds. This position demands a comprehensive understanding of fund financial management principles, precision in financial reporting, and the capability to navigate the complexities of private equity financial frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Fund Financial Management:
    • Manage the daily financial operations of the fund, including the recording of financial transactions, account reconciliations, and ensuring precise financial reporting.
    • Maintain the general ledger for multiple private equity funds.
  2. NAV Assessment:
    • Calculate and verify the Net Asset Value (NAV) for private equity funds.
    • Oversee capital calls, distributions, and fund-related expenses.
  3. Financial Reporting:
    • Prepare and review financial statements and reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory obligations.
  4. Investor Communications:
    • Assist in the creation of reports and communications for investors.
    • Address inquiries from investors regarding fund performance and financial issues.
  5. Audit Collaboration:
    • Work alongside internal and external auditors during the audit process.
    • Provide necessary documentation and clarifications for audit-related inquiries.
  6. Cash Flow Management:
    • Monitor cash flow, reconcile cash transactions, and ensure appropriate fund allocation.
    • Collaborate with the treasury team to manage liquidity within the fund.
  7. Regulatory Compliance:
    • Stay informed about industry regulations and accounting standards impacting private equity funds.
    • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and reporting duties.
  8. Performance Analysis:
    • Contribute to the assessment of fund performance and investment portfolios.
    • Assist in evaluating investment opportunities and financial structures.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in fund accounting, ideally within the private equity sector.
  • CPA certification or progress towards CPA certification is advantageous.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong grasp of private equity fund structures and accounting principles.
